How would ya go about doing this...

Im creating a members area. basically i want people to be able to save their searches/ pages that they like from my site. so Im thinking that when they regester a mysql data table should be automatically created and then when they click save, the info goes in there.

Is this a logical way to go about doing this, or is there a much easier way that Ive missed?

create one table selected_pages

[id] [userid] [pageid]

to safe for each selected page the user id and page id of the selected page.

ahhh gotcha. i was tryina work out how, when they looked for their saved pages ya could display only the ones that that particular user saved, but s'just the userid coloumn of course, youll haveto excuse me, its too late at night for this :$

you might want to do a google on database normalization techniques. it will help you with allot of database and application design.
