Convert special chars to ASCII codes

Hi All,

Last year there was someone who posted a function that converted a whole bunch of special characters in user_input to their ASCII values. (Like HTML_special_chars) and back again.

I cannot find the post anymore. Does anybody have this or a similar function shelved somewhere for me? Or am I off on another coding adventure?

Could they be [man]htmlentities/man and [man]html_entity_decode/man?

Hi Laser,

Yes. Very much like it. But there was a much further expanded list. It was more of a general search - and - replace kind of thing.

I'll keep looking,and maybe.. Dive back into the forums manually...
