I think I have done enough research on this. (I guess)
Have a look at these codes, I am not sure what is wrong. Do think adding
head("Content-type: image/jpeg") before the "echo" will make the code work?

If you want to send HTML, send HTML. If you want to send an image, send the image. Remember, the src="" attribute of an HTML <img> tag is supposed to be a URL to an image, not the image itself.

In your case, the URL will need to be one that calls a script with a request for the appropriate image.

Yes; another script. Just one reason why binaries tend not to be stored in databases, particularly in web applications. There are others.

Is there a way to retrieve images from database and display it?
Acutally, I found some codes to do this. The problem is that it can't thumbnail images before displaying on a single webpage. It can display a serial of images (e.g. echo $image; $image is the image retrieved from database)
The problem I have is I don't know how to thumbnail them before displaying on a webpage.
Any way to get around this???

Do it when you upload the image. Then you only need to do it once, instead of every time it's viewed.
