Extracting exif data

Hi All-
I'm working with a friend on using the exif_read_data function and have it working normally where all info is being shown for each of the photographs that he has but what he's looking to do is the following:

use exif_read_data to grab the image info and then strip out everything but a couple of the vars so that he can just have things like FileName and a few others. I've tried a few things myself but I'm unable to come up with something workable that wouldn't be messy and inefficient. I searched but wasn't able to find exactly what I'm looking for. Any pointers or ideas or slaps to the head would be greatly appreciated.

Yea exactly! Wow I tried doing something like that I swear .. now I feel like a complete newb 🙁 Thanks for the help man! I can take it from here 🙂
