[Resolved] Appending to a string

I have the following:

echo '<td height="16"><a href="main.php?filter='.$row['ProductID'].'&category='.$category.'" class="style3">'.$row['Product'].'</a></td>';

...which shows a list of Products with a hyperlink on them.

I now want to add " > SubProduct" where SubProduct will also have hyperlink.

What do I need to tack onto the end?

I get so confused with this but seeing my example will give me something to refer back to in future.

im not 100% sure what your trying to do. maybe a bit more explaination required. you know that the . is the concatination operator, so if you want to tack something on the end of a string thats what you use.

$a = 'foo';
$b = 'bar';
echo $a.$b;

returns:

foobar

Well, I want to add some extra text to the right of the link. So is this the correct syntax?

echo '<td height="16"><a href="main.php?filter='.$row['ProductID'].'&category='.$category.'" class="style3">'.$row['Product'].'</a></td>'." more text";

</a> is end of linktext
</td> is end of td-field in table
now figure it out
