partial uploads

Hey,

I wrote a quick admin for a site, with basic image uploads.

It was working for around 2 weeks, now suddenly it started getting buggy, then it just stopped working.

now when i upload i am getting error 3, UPLOAD_ERR_PARTIAL , the uploads are definetaly not being cancelled by the browser.

I havent come across this before so dont really know the first step to fixing it, and there seems to be no documentation into what causes this

• Was "max_upload_size" changed?
• Has the server's connection become unstable?
• Have users' connections become unstable or slow?

i added a max_upload just after this started happening to 2000000

the files being uploaded are in the range of 30 - 100k, nothing big at all.

this is happening to every client that tries to upload, I cant think its a dodgy connection on everyones site,

and standard http connections to the server seem fine, pings are around 160 >

How about storage space--could it be running low, especially when the temp directory fills up? Or is there anything in the temp directory that's not being deleted?

do files in the /tmp/ folder need manually deleted?

unlink($_FILES['userfile']['tmp_name'])
ect, I assumed they were cleaned up automatically
I dont have ftp access to see how full it is,

but deleting some images from inside my webroot got it working again so it

so the physical space was the problem

The temporary uploaded files will be automatically deleted unless you rename them. But using "move_uploaded_file()" instead of copying them will make certain they're gone. (I don't know which way you use--for a Windows server you might have to copy. Then, to be sure, manually delete.) I was also thinking of other files that from time to time might have found their way into the temp directory and stayed there.
