Article management integrated with phpbb

I'm looking for a decent article management system which i can easily intergrate with the userdatabase of phpbb

Any suggestions?

some have suggested to rip part of a cms like mambo and customize it to use phpbb

hope there is a better solution

You're probably going to get better response at the PhPbb forums. Most people here write their own forums / scripts.

I have but there doesn't seem to be anything premade to work with phpbb.

So the phpbb aspect isn't important just need something which is good,free and which i can mod

ps. you write your own forums?? why would you do that. I do change the scripts i use, but writing your own forum seems very cumbersome
