no idea

hi, i am trying to build a site that offers free greeting cards, something like www.123greetings.com or www.passionup.com. the problem is that i have absolutely no idea of how to go about it. i sure would appreciate some tips.

Hi Perposan and welcome to the forum

Guess what - we've got no idea either, but you might find the terms 'database', 'PHP' and 'HTML' useful. If you don't fancy that, try a CMS, e.g. PHPNuke or similar.

One word of warning: don't do what 123 Greetings and Passion Up have done and include lots of pop-ups and pop-unders - they're very annoying.

Ideas are for you and you alone 😃 but i can help on how to go about and use. Don't use php_nuke...it's slow and sux imo. PHP MYSQL HTML, if u know them use them. Or if you don't, get a cms such as drupal or e107 or somethign... 🙂 Yes and if you choose on having ads... just have banner ads, cuz ads ... well i hate them. 🙂 good luck, and welcome to the community..
