[Resolved] php.ini settings

if we do not change the default settings of the php.ini file, then what will the above code print?

Nothing or Notice ??

There will be no such index of the $_GET superglobal, so you will receive an E_NOTICE about using an undefined index of an array.

Thanks to both of you .....

I gone through the php.net site and found that

" In PHP 4 and PHP 5 the default value is E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE "

hence we will NOT get any Notice but will get Nothing.

Just as a follow-up, if you ever want to surpress an error like that, don't forget you can use the error-surpressor simple '@' like so:

$test = @something('return_errors');

if(!$test) {
   graceful_function_to_end_script();
   die();
}

if(@$_GET['non_existant_key']) {
    echo 'Found the key!';
} else {
   echo 'Did not find the key.';
}
