Nope, and I haven't used this either but I'd be more inclined to use the pecl library, purely because it's likely to have more people hacking on it. Like I say, I've never used either, the closest I've ever come to integrating my java apps with my php ones is through webservices. In every case I've come accross the java apps are quite chunky apps which just seem to lend themselves to serving up their data rather than being integrated. I can however see how, in some cases, a deeper integration could be usefull. Before you run into it though, I would suggest you look into whether it's really necesarry, remember, calls over loopback are pretty damned quick so unless you really need to play around with what the java app is doing it's probably going to be easier to just set up a webservice.
