Blank line when error

When my table is empty I get a error like this one my page

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/httpd/vhosts/site.co.nz/httpdocs/events/eventlist.php on line 251

This is okay but is there a way to not show this error on the one page??

check to make sure your table isn't empty before feeding the result resource to mysql_fetch_array. (hint: look at [man]mysql_num_rows[/man])
