FC3 up2date troubles

Hello,

I'm having some trouble with up2date on FC3, I try to update gcc,kde,php etc., but the program returns
an error that it can't install these packages because it needs:
- gcc-java 3.2.2
- libgcj 3.2.2
- qt 1:3.1.1-6
- php 4.2.2-17

So I went to rpmfind.net and tried to install qt 3.1.1-6,but FC3 told me that I have a newer version of qt installed.
Ok, so I tried to install the latest version of qt(also rpm), but FC3 aborted installation again,claiming that I need to install qt-3.1.1-6 first...

What am I supposed to do???

Use YUM

is up2date such a bad program,then?

up2date is good however yum is better. YUM will figure out the dependencies find them and download as well install them all.

You will need to build a repository though to really get the most out of it.
