[RESOLVED] Sticky pages

Hi all, I have a sticky page working but cannot figure out how to get the two drop down lists to return to their preselected choices when the user needs to finish or correct their data.

Here is the link to the Sticky Page , any suggestions for this would be great. Currently the page only verifies data and does not upload any thing to a DB server. So you can pound away.

The book I am using with examples is Larry Ullman's "PHP and MySQL for dynamic web sites"

What the hell is a 'sticky page'??? Not what I'm thinking, obviously.

I was curious too. Seems more like an ad submission page to me.

Thanks, I give it a shot and let you know what happens.

For you other guys, the book I refered to called a "Sticky Page" a page that remembers what the user already input but forgot or some field did not validate. The user is returned to the page with all data previously input so they do not have to redo all the fields. I have been to some pages that do not remember your form data and you have to fill out the form again from the start.

Also note that you have some weird spacing problems going on with the 'description' textarea. It keeps adding a single space after the user's data upon each submition.

Probably a space in the textarea tags.

i.e.

instead of:

Thanks, the dropdown code worked fine. I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to figure that out on my own.

And thanks for noticing the extra space in the Description field. I didn't notice it yet. I removed all blank spaces in-between the <textarea> tags and that fiixed everything. Because the code was so long I had moved it to seperate lines and indented it to make it readable. That's what I get for being a VB programmer (3 yrs) .
