[Resolved] Dates are not ordered

Greetings,
I've got my dates as numbers as unix time ( time(); ) and when I want to ORDER BY (ASC) date it returns wrong order, Here example of 5 elements from db:

1.1120744800 (08.Jul.2005 00:07)
2.1120744800 (08.Jul.2005 00:07)
3.237132000 (08.Jul.1977 00:07)
4.302104800 (30.Jul.1979 00:07)
5.47743200 (08.Jul.1971 00:07)

As you can see #3 and #4...really bugging me off this puzzle...

SELECT DISTINCT nw_id,nw_name,nw_urlname,nw_image,nw_pubdate FROM indc_news ORDER BY nw_pubdate asc LIMIT 0, 40

what field type are the dates stored in? did you say numbers? int? in order to order them correctly you will need to store them in a datetime filed.

I found the solution:

The field that is used to store UnixTimeStamp format date needs to be integer not varchar...

Sorting works fine now...
