i will need a week to absorb all the changes to say if i think it is better. (not that it matters)

My initial response, was hey this is clean and nice, but now I think it looks a cluttered (if not junky). I guess what I always liked about phpb is that it's look was so unpretentious compared to the slick 3-d forums around, AND yet it has one of the best communities...

Check out the smilies... hey! where is my favorite just plain old "mr smiles"? ... oh, there he is! 🙂

I'll second the cluttered comment. I'm probably just not used to the new icons or layout, but it's definitely "bigger" on the thread/forum listings, causing unnecessary scrolls (imho).

Plus, putting the poster's info above each post by default only slows down the read speed of each thread 🙁

Yep, too much scrolling. Actually, what is painful is the harsh cobalt blue. The previous version had a less harsh blue (on the eyes). But overall, this is a welcome happening.

I would gladly kick in a day's design/planning to reduce the amount or space (height) required to make the top portion of this site happen. I suggest you place that big add to the right of the log and then the sub-ad (whatever it's called) underneath that. I bet we could shave off 150 pixels or so...and that's alot.

And the logo? I bet I could round up a small team of people to redo that gratis.

Actually the forum starts higher up on the page than it did before.

Sorry, all I got around me is Chicago style pizza. Want an Italian beef sandwich or a hot dog with everything on it? got plenty of those too.

I think the thread looks less cluttered, actually... I like it (although I, too, am confused easily with changes)

No hacks are currently installed, like mark resolved, and the searches won't work til the DB is indexed, which is causing a problem at the moment. I don't expect either to be resolved until early next week.

Mmmmmmm...we used to have deep dish Chicago pizza Fedex'd to us in Seattle. They pack spices in the tomatoes...
