CD writing

Hello all,

My query is follows :

One of the form of the application allows to enter the information as records in the database.

If a member wants to search a particular set of information (e.g. car dealers from a particular city, property agents from a particular area etc.)

After searching the results, of this information is to be stored on CD, is it possible to invoke CD writing application and transfer the search results on CD?

If it is not possible, then how this can be achieved ?

Find a cd burning application wich works with command line parameters
Save search data to a file
Use [man]exec[/man] functions to call cd burning applications with appropriate command line parameters.
Grab the output to see if everything went well.

Do you mean you want the results to be written to CD on the user's machine or on the server? I can't see it being very usefull on the server as you'd need to employ a monkey to keep changing the CDs and then what would you do with them? What I suspect is that you want to invoke the burning on the user's machine. This, unfortunately, is not possible as PHP is a server side language.
