[RESOLVED] Pausing a page before redirect

I have seen many pages that pause before re-directing. I have been unable to find anything to help me in coding something like this. Anyone have an example I can looke at? I even searched the these forums.

well you simply run your script on your pagem then you use the sleep function
To redirect, you use the header function

It should look like this:

<?php

//your code here

sleep(5); // wait for five seconds

header('Location : somepage.php');
?>

and if you want to be able to output html before the redirect, since you cant do that with header, and header will just show a blank page before the redirect you use

<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="5;http://www.url.com">

put that in your head tag, after the page has been loaded for 5 seconds it redirects.
