Valid Email Addresses

Greetings,
Can email addresses have two apmpersands in them? I don't think so, but maybe I think wrong.

Example we had a user enter the following email into one of our web forms. He is from Pakistan.

[email]umair_dead@[e-mail][/email]

We use isValidEmail() on the emial address entered and it got past it as true.

We send an auto-generated email to an appropriate internal department with the user's email address in the From: header. That's when the script bombs. Gotta be the two @'s.

Ooops! Hopefully you all know that I was referring to the "at" symbol @, not the ampersand, which is a &. My mistake - early Monday morning here, sorry.

No there cant be (also @ isnt an ampersand its the at sign) The @ is suppose to specify where the username is located i.e. what domain name the mail box is located at. So for what you have its umair_dead at pakistan (domain) hotmail (domain) since you cant have 2 domains in a url this cant be valid.

Its like saying as well that you live at 8 MyPlace St BigRoad Rd My Suburb, which also cant be valid you cant live in a street/road that is within another street/road (well at least not where I live anyway).
