Cost based on date

I hope someone here can help me with this question.

What I would like to do is produce a quote for a customer based on the dates they input.

For example if someone wanted a 3 night stay beginning 23/08/05 the cost would be £25 per night. If they wanted 2 nights in December it would only be £15 a night. I am presuming this would be based on some sort of date range function, except the other problem is bank holiday dates are also a different rates to normal.

Could someone point me in the right direction on how to start this please.

Well, you could store all bank holiday dates in an array or seperate variables (an array would be easier and faster) and then using a range of IF loops you could first check the range of the dates and then see if a bank holiday is included in this range (eg. if $bankhol>$startdate||$bankhol<$finishdate). IF it is then do something... if not, do something else.

Thats the way i would do it, dont know about anyone else. Anyway, hope that helps 🙂
