IE printing issue with PHP pages

I developed some internal software for my company (meaning what code I can share is limited and there's no way I can re-create the ware for public viewing without countless hours of modifications)

So this is what's happening - hopefully one of you has seen this issue before.

In IE (of course) when users go to print the page they are viewing, it's spooling a little mover a hundred extra pages with no content other than the script location and page number.

This issue does not exist in FireFox, Mozilla, Opera, Safari, or any other browser I could get access to to test this.

What would cause an extra hundred pages or so to be tacked onto the print job?

I know I'm asking for help without code examples, and I apologize, but please at least take a moment to ponder this.

i do not know the answer, but i would look at the page source in IE (at HTML emitted by your php code) and see if there is anything wrong with it. i would save it in to a text file, and try to open the file in IE and see if the problem persists. modify the html to localise the cause.

As it turns out it was a simple css issue
I was missing a couple semi-colons and while firefox was forgiving, IE decided to have a temper tantrum.

Isn't that always the case?

Yup, which is why validators like http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ can be useful.

Funny thing is, it's usually IE which accepts bad code while Firefox assumes you know what you're doing.
