UNSECURE
The MySQL user root has no password
Every local user on Linux box can access your MySQL database with administrator rights.
You should set a password.
The funny thing I have given 'root' a mysql password (by using phpmyadmin)
What pasword is it about:
my linux, my mysql or my phpmyadmin
This my MySQL attempt makes me sick.
you all know I do not want to use this db.
I am a flatfile man 🙂
When using flat file I only have to set correct CHMOD permission
and make a login script of my own, all in PHP
But I have downloaded some php script applications
that can not use simple and good flat file data storage :bemused:
Anybody of you MySQL addicted poor chaps, know how to fix this security thing?
So local Linux box users are not admins ..
Thanks
I know you can help me
/halojoy
soon stuck in the mysql swamp, as the others
😃
