I've been looking through docs for different PHP compilers and all of them say the same thing - MySQL can't be compiled as well - the resulting executable must access the db remotely.
One of my clients is looking to distribute his PHP-driven website on CD for several clients who are... old, outdated and stubborn.
Being that this would be on a static CD, the need for the data to be dynamic would dissolve...
Is there any way to take a dynamic website and grab all the outputted (post-parsing) code, rename all files from .php to .html, and modify all resulting scripts to alter form submission locations and href locations from .php to .html?
I'm sure there is and it's not very difficult but my brain isn't liking me today.
Any directional assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
