Calculate totals from repeat region

I need some help with calculating totals from a repeat region. Some times one number sometimes ten. How can this be done.

in order to elaborate on just what you are trying to do.

Revised question - I have a page that is pulling multible records from the Db. On the page these multiple records are shown by using a repeat region. Now that those records are showing how do I get the SUM of the cell with the numbers in it. I can get the sum when it is one record without the repeat region, but when there are more than one and the repeat region I get nothing.

I hope this is a better explanation.

I am sorry for the phrasing, this is what DreamWeaver calls this:

<?php } while ($row_rsWinBid = mysql_fetch_assoc($rsWinBid)); ?>

That's normally called a loop.
To find the sum, run a query such as:
SELECT SUM(colname) FROM tablename;

Oh, and avoid using do-while loops for looping through the result set.

while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result))
{
     // Do stuff with $row
}
