Hey all,
ALRIGHT. If you are a budding webmaster with dreams of being the super designer for everyone’s business needs. Well listen to this story before you even think about tackling clientele.
I thought because I done a tutorial I could re-code PHP nuke in an afternoon. Oh, how greatly was I mistaken. I receive a stroke of luck client looking for a webmaster to create a website for his business. Oh joy, money I thought and the chance to re-invent the wheel. I start work on a CMS for my client. Minor talks, I done what I thought was needed, got a general approval. All is well.
During the weeks after I received a couple of requests to do some little bits of work, no worries I thought. 2 days ago I receive an email. Oh just close to 20 additions NEED to be made. Most are small, one includes the addition of a rich text editor, alright the client wouldn't know what a RTE is but that’s what they want. I can't be angry at the client. So who, it can’t be... oh it is... ME :glare:
It's called planning. A lesson learnt. Don't learn it the hard way.
I strongly recommend "the Webmasters BUSINESS Masters Course" for any and all webmasters. If only I knew what was in the course before, I could have made more money, spent less time on the project and not being doing an all-nighter to complete work.
This small FREE PDF file has amazing information. I have never seen anything this rich and helpful. It is exactly what I needed to steer me in the right direction.
I'm happy. Mistakes can be good as long as you learn from them, you know that old chestnut. I would do it all again, I enjoyed the lesson.
I wanna read your story 😉, do share, we weren't born professionals so cough up!
