code for linking an option to a folder

Thanks for all the help by members in the past.
I wish to link a selected option to a particular folder which contains different file types. When I click the submit button, web page not found appears. The name of the folder is y501 which contains an English lesson. Any suggestions please.

you cant link to a folder. links need to point to files.

Well, the link can point to a directory, but the server will look for an "index.html" file in that directory (or whatever the server has been configured to look for).

If you can't justify putting this in a PHP forum, I'll delete it to keep the noise/signal ratio down.
