Query count, is less than 9 on every page good for a cms?

Well, as anyone who has been reading up on my topics knows, I have been developing a cms for 3 months now its at 99% completion, and im almost ready to release for beta testing, I just wanted to ask the experienced programmers here at phpbuilder who I must say have been MORE than amazingly helpful, compared to another support forum I USE visit where people with huge egos just drag you down and make you feel like your nothing.

I was going to ask if you all thought a query count <= 9 on every page was good for a CMS? If you would like to see it for yourself please feel free to visit http://phpublisher.net

Well comparing that to others its exceptional most avg 20 or so I believe, however since Im not too sure on features, implementation what the queries actually do and there complexity its a bit hard to say.

Now Im not saying its bad you may have done a lot of work optimizing the database structure (Normalization), queries etc but the real test if 9 Queries is ideal is when its tested under heavy loads, how slow the queries are processed, with the loads does data become corrupt?

I have been doing exactly the same with my site. Its still in development too but your is tonnes better. I wouldn't worry so much about the query count though - the important thing is that the page loads are less than two seconds any more and people will get bored waiting.

Anyway I have between 7 and 12 queries depending on the depth of the sections. I.e: if I have gone to a section called Home->Projects->website->Bugs I would have more queries. The query count is at the bottom.

From what I can tell, no data gets corrupt.

For now it might not but what I am saying is what happens if you get heavy traffic, will it be able to handle it, now this isnt really something you can test now only time will tell. Now im not trying to degrade your script or yourself for that matter like 9 queries per page (im assuming thats an average) is quite amazing, but like I said what are these queries doing? and how complex are they? If they are all extremely complex queries you find that the script over time and on high server loads may choke a little.

Well, lets hope it doesn't lol but with my luck, it probably will and then ill have to fix it :-P
