I've written about this in some of posts...basically, when I go onto PHPBuilder.com (or any forum for that matter), I go to each section of interest for me, then middle click on each interesting thread (to open up in a new tab). By the time I'm done looking through the forums, I have an average of around 10-30 threads open for me to read through and possibly reply. Problem is, time doesn't stand still as I'm reading (although I wish I had that power 🙂). By the time I'm finished with the first 5-6 or so threads, it's been around 10, maybe 15 minutes, and it's guaranteed someone has noticed one of the other threads I've opened up and havent gotten to yet, and posted something already. By the time I get to it, I still see how it looks when I first opened it up (because it doesn't auto-refresh - although that's a feature I like in a lot of web pages, and it's really useful). So now I go ahead, read the problem post back, and when I click "Submit", I realize, "Someone else has already posted before me! The original author could've replied back, and now my post makes no sense! Now I have to go edit my post again!".
So my question is this: since most of you use Firefox (or Opera, or Mozilla, or IE w/ MSN toolbar, or any other tabbed browser), have you ever experienced this before? And as for you moderators who post so much (especially Weedpacket), how do you go about managing and replying to all these threads?
