script to import a cvs file to a database

i need to know the php script to import a cvs file data to a database..

i mean, the one like at friendster..

well.., i have a phpbb forum, with Social networking Mod and i need to put a link so the user can import email address from their cvs file on their yahoo / msn mail...

Isn't a CVS file have the values separated by commas? If so, then look at [man]explode[/man].

Are you sure you mean CVS and not CSV? They're different things.
If you mean CSV, try [man]fgetcsv[/man].

If the file is of a CSV type (comma separated values), you can use the function fgetcsv() to get all the values in the CSV file.
