Getting Server Root?

How would I go about getting the server root?

I haven't been able to find a fucntion to do this. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to post.

Is the variable $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] what you're looking for?

i think the closest you'll get is $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']. this may or may not be the servers root, depending on your setup. for instance, if your on shared hosting, you will not have access to the servers root.
