Passing the name of loaded image to php?

Hi, I searched like 2 hours, but couldn't find a thing. Maybe I am a butthead, HOWEVER,

i have a javascript which generates random name and loads 1.jpg OR 2.jpg.

Now is there a possibility without generating that random name in php, to pass the name of the loaded image to php script?

My guess would be know, but HEY miracles exist.

well, you could have a form submit it, or I suppose you could have a javascript which rewrites all links to include the name in the link. But otherwise.. Not really: there has to be communication to the server in order to get something from the website to PhP.
