i'm not sure whether this is where i should ask the following. forgive me if i'm at the wrong place. however, i really need help. thanks.

I have uniform server but don't really know its function and how to use and "blend" the components in Uniform Server to get what i'm intending to do.

To make it simple,

if i want to retrieve images, Where do I type mySql command? Is it in Dreamweaver and then save as .php file?

Before, I start everything, I have to use php coding to connect to the mySql server first, is it? does it mean, I have to set the localhost, username and password?
How to set if i'm using uniform server?

Most important question if i want to retrieve a few images and arrange in a row,

How does the php file know that I’m calling the images that I have stored it in a folder that I put in my WWW directory? Here, how does the database, php coding and phpMyAdmin come in action? How to “blend” them together so that everything works?

lots of questions. firstly... i have no clue what a uniform server is, but a quick glance at there site leads me to believe its some sort of install all wamp thing.

are your images stored in mysql? you will need to learn how to query mysql from php. try here

you can use any text editor to write php.
