Aren't pyramid schemes illegal?

Hi,

It's not a pyramid scheme as such as you only have to refer five people and there is no chain that goes on from there.

Aren't pyramid scheme's where the person at the top makes money from referrals from referrals from refferals.. etc?

It's really just a marketing tool where a) the customer gets a free item. b) the web site get's commission from the advertiser's and c) the advertiser's get more business.

The real question is just who ends up with the email addresses.

I'd call it a Spam-haven.

The people who are referred will recieve a one time email from the person who referrs them. The members of the site will recieve a weekly or monthly email (depending on their preference) or can choose to opt out of recieving email at any time. See our privacy policy and terms & conditions. We do not condone spamming. The emails we send contain account details such as how many people the member has referred and any promotional offer that might interest them.
