PEAR for beginners

Hello,

I searched this forum to see if someone has an example usage.. I've been to the pear site..

http://pear.php.net/manual/en/package.caching.cache-lite.intro.php

I am having my site hosted. THey said they have the module installed..

So how do i import the package ?

How do i get the first piece of example code to work - on the link above.?

I dont' know how to require the package..

Well it has a problem with require_once('Cache/Lite.php');
that folder doesn't exisit.... And i didn't install it because my hosting company said theyhave the module installed already....

So i guess the trouble is how do i import the package..
in java you can do import statements like import java.io.*;

how do I do this here in php ?

No - that folder could be relative to any path within you php file's include path - which could be /usr/local/lib/php - have you TRIED doing it - put error_reporting(E_ALL); as the first line - and TRY it - Planetsim isn't just typing solutions for the sake of it.
