open source development project: MyMindshare

I am seriously considering turning MyMindshare into an open source project, and I need some guidance on how to go about it.

MyMindshare is a site that enables advertisers to pay consumers directly for their mindshare. I've built a functioning prototype in ASP.NET with a MS Access back end. Of course, everyone here is probably well aware of how problematic that is.

I'm not just looking for free software development -- I'm serious about creating an open source project that releases the MyMindshare code to enable anyone to build their own version of a MyMindshare directory. It's my belief is that doing so will create many more opportunities than it precludes. My reasoning is laid out in this blog post:
