Search date issue

Hello

I'm making a calender script. I already have the calender. But on each day i want to search a table that has "from date" and "to date"

Say that the table looks like this.

|name           |Fromdate       |Todate         |
+---------------+---------------+---------------+
|Jane Doe       |01/31/2005     |02/15/2005     |
|John Doe       |02/15/2005     |02/31/2005     |
 

And when the calendar saus 02/10/2005 it searches the database, and finds this date is between Jane doe's fromdate and todate.

Any good suggestion on how to do this?

select * from TABLE where fromdate < TESTDATE and todate > TESTDATE

Use unix_timestamps for easier comparison, if you can.
