Cron Jobs

Hi. i need to make a few cron jobs but i not sure how to go about it. i know how to get to the cron job menu in cpanel, set time etc. i know u need a timestamp field, i think anyhoo in the tables that you update. i think u need a script which does the updating, which the crn job runs. dunno how to make the cron job run it, or what the script should look like, just a normal script, or special code to it??? help

to run a php script from cron you can do this:

• /usr/bin/php -r /path/to/script.php

replace /usr/bin/php with the real path to php if that isnt it. and of course the full path to the script, and you can change the schedule as needed. but the script doesnt have to be written any differently.
