get random image from URL

Hi, I really need some help on grabbing and saving a thumbnail from a URL like

http://ravinriley.com/ravenriley/freegallery016/?nats=MzM3OjM6MQ = URL Not Safe For Work

any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

What do you want to do? Grabbing an image from an url? are you looking for fopen?

sorry, but thats what I'm dealing with.. I did make sure it wasn't a gallery that would traumatize anyone.. if thats any consolation

I need to make sure that I don't grab the header image..

I've tried strpos & substr but haven't had any luck so far

btw, I can grab the HTML.. just need to find a way to extract the thumb & save it locally

yes, I want to grab an image from the URL... without knowing the images name

Use regular expressions on the html source. If you know what typically comes before the image and what typically comes after the image. Look up ereg . Note this link goes to the official PHP manual - not some porn site which could terminate someone's career if they clicked on it. :glare:

It's for promoting them, so I'd say yes..

on another note, I think an image resized down and linking to the originating URL qualifies for fair use
