I hav a urgent problem to solve. This is my code:
<html> <head></head> <body> ã<br> é<br> óó<br> </body> </html>
and this is what the browser shows to me:
ã é óó
Anyone hav this problem before???
My apache is 2.0.54 and my php 4.4.0
HTML doesn't understand those characters. Use the HTML special character codes for those characters.

Yes, but, until yesterday, the php code understand those special chars very well. :bemused: 🙁

Kind-a opposite what you are saying here.. The chars are displayed.
Perhaps in your doctype definition you need to define a specific characterset?

I don't know the problem then...
But it is advised to use the character codes for characters that are not letters of the alphabet without accents, or numbers.
The php sources hav strange chars too. I down known what are happend.
note: My desktop is linux e and server is freebsd
