[RESOLVED] Delete Row

Hi,
I am having a little problem with the following row to delete a row from my table. This script works fine on my home testing server but as soon as I put it onto my main web server it does not work and gives me an SQL syntax error.

mysql_select_db($database, $connect);
$sql = "DELETE FROM prices WHERE id=$id";
mysql_query($sql) or die(mysql_error());

How are you defining $id? Through a form or link?

In case of a form:

use: $id = $_POST[id];

In case of a link:

$id = $_GET[id];

It has to do with the global variables not being set at the provider, as a default security service to you.

Enjoy. Keep in mind you need that for EVERY time you pass variables this way..

In your php.ini file at home, you might want to set register_globals to off, to avoid problems in the future.
