removing parentheses in where clause

Im curious to know if parentheses matter performance.

ie: if I change
((a AND b) AND c OR (((a AND b) AND (c AND d))))
to (a AND b AND c) OR (a AND b AND c AND d)

how much significant increase would it gain on performance, do we really need care this ?

there definately wont be any difference you will see. that really only results in a few extra instructions. usually in computer science, when expressions with parantheses are evaluated, they are first converted to another format, usually arithmetic expressions are done in reverse polish notation. you can always try to make a timer to run the query a few hundred times each way and see what the differences are.
php function [man]microtime[/man] has a good usage for this and theres an example on the php.net page on how to time code with it.
