php file for a Cron Job help...

New to PHP... any help would be much appriciated...

I need to run a cron job every day that removes certain words from all fields in my mysql database.

How would I write the PHP that searches all the db fields and removes a few specific words???

Think that this is difficult, I think its better to use a blacklist of words while entering the data...

Olaf is probably right.

If you want to do it your way, you'll need to know quite a bit about the MySQL functions. Probably you'd want [man]str_replace[/man] for removing "certain words".

Unless, of course, you don't care at all about any field with a "certain word" in which case "DELETE from sometable where SOMEFIELD regexp 'certain word'" might suitably destroy things.... 😃
