Is using a text file the easiest way to allow a user to update their own site. I am building a site for the local habitat for humanity, and they would like to be able to update their sponsor list on a regular basis. I figured if I built the site and included some code to read from sponsors.txt, they could update that and upload the new version whenever they wanted. Is this a good idea, or is there a much simpler way to allow them to update the site on their own?

Well, how are the users updating the text file? Can you they add and delete names as needed? Can they create hyperlinks to the sponsor's web sites? If it is easy for them and does what they need it to do, then that is fine, right?

but, if it doesn't do what they NEED it to do, or it is not easy for them to update/change and modify, then ....
