Passing info from page to page

Hello:

I'm designing a site for an organization which sponsors a lot of events.

They want each event to have its own page along with a form for anyone who is interested to signup.

A person is able to signup for more than one event.

After a person is signed up for all the events for which they are interested, they want the site to have a page which displays all the events for which a person is registered. The person can review their registrations and do a final registration submission.

Is it possible to accomplish this task? How do I keep the website from remembering what a person chooses so they can receive their review page?

Any ideas and thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

I would use sessions. Create a session variable and call it "events". Have that be an array, and then when you're ready for final verification, just itterate through the array to show what they've registered for.

You could also store the data in a work table and then write to the main table on final submission. That way, if a person left and came back they would not have to go repeat all their previous input.

Just a suggestion to improve the users' experience. You may want to suggest it to your client.

Thank you for the reply.

I am going the database route. I was basically going to create a temp table to store the info for that session alone. I never considered a final database for users to have the ability to which to come back. Thank you for that suggestion.

Don't Mess about with temporary tables - just have them sign up for membership then save everything to thier username account in MySQL/MSSQL. Million times easier.
