new window open

I like the new interface 🙂

My web site has a photo for each day of the month. I want to let the user to open a new window so that they may change the month or year. Then have the parent windo to reload. Can I do this without javascript. I tried with javascript and the problem is that I can not script the child page to send a POST or GET method type variable to the parent window.

You have to use Javascript there is no other cross browser compatiable way to achieve it. Show some code of what you used to try and accomplish the task.

I am thinking that you can reload the parent window with the new parameter... Something like parentwindow.location = "currentlocation.php?newparameter=" + parameter;

Then it will reload it, passing it the new parameter (month, or whatever you want to pass)

Also 1 more thing - in your signature, where you have if $forget = "forget" i think that should be if $forget == "forget" or you'll keep resetting $forget to "forget" and you'll always forget mother's day 🙂
