mountainboarder

yeh....so i dowload it from php.net
manual installation and extract files to C:\php
then delete the zip folder
then i rename php.ini-recommended to php.ini and save it in C:\windows
when i check to see if i installed it right, i type php -v into the command line. nothing happens. i typed exactly "php -v", did i not use some syntax or somthin?
Any help would be great

unless you put C:\PHP in your PATH environmental variable, then you will have to specify a full absolute path to PHP from the command line:

C:\PHP\php.exe -v

yeh.........i tryed that
went to environmental variables and switched PATH to the following

C:\php

still wont work
also, i read some article on this site in which some guy told about the same problem i was having only it was for linux....so i didnt get any help from that. he said that there wasnt anything wrong with the installation except something called the binary or somthin. he said that the command line wasnt executing any script at all, not that the path was wrong. the article is somewhere in the article section.

so.....my question is still this......WTF is wrong!?
