Another news report about an asian man spending too much time at a NetCafe then dying. Makes yah think twice about all those coffees and late nights coding 🙁 Would be nice if they told yah how much they weighed though. The last report I read was about a guy who stayed up for like 48 hours waiting for a download to finish.

He was cheating! It says he took brief naps, how rubbish. I remember staying awake for almost 4 days in playing Ultima Underwurlde II because I didn't have a PC and had to go back go uni so was just busting to finish it... but don't think I did because who the hell could work out that bit about throwing the oil into the lake, or whatever it was - nobody.

Not a joke mate, computer addiction is a real issue. I know I am addicted to this thing. I've gone without the PC and net before and I have changed into a much more active person. I have more energy and feel much better... bored but feel better. The growing rate of people with mental health issues is already alarming. It is an issue and it can not be ignored forever.

However, computer addiction is still considered by many pschologists and a silly little "fake" addiction. They don't treat it the same way as normal addictions - they assume it'll go away on its own. People have to learn how to get away from the computer for a while. We should start a coalition to fight computer addiction! I'll start on it as soon as I get off my computer...😃
