[RESOLVED] php_insert_ext_here.dll Not Loading

I found what I thought to be my answer in another thread, so I tried it but it didn't work. When PHP is loaded by my Apache server, it pops up with an error box saying it couldn't load the extensions in question.

The funny thing is that I get these two error messages (see attached .PNG's) twice.

Below is the URL for the fix that I tried. Does anybody have any other ideas aside from just not trying to use these two extensions? I have done everything in this other thread and still I can't it to run error free!

If anybody needs more info, just ask and I'll be glad to post it for you.

Are you able to use other extensions (i.e. it works, but somehow doesnt work for these 2).

Now that you mention it, I think so. 9 in total.

So... why are the other 7 loading fine and why is PHP trying to load them all twice?

Here's an update: I still don't know why they are not all loading and some help would be nice because I'd rather like to use those extansions...

"extension_dir = .\php\ext\"

That path says "look in the current directory for a directory named 'php'".

Try changing that to this:

extension_dir = \php\ext[/quote]

or even

extension_dir = c:/php/ext/

EDIT: Hate to ask a stupid question, but... is "c:\php\ext\" the correct path?

Well, see that's the thing. All the extensions are in the same directory. I'm asking it to load nine, and it only loads seven. The remaining two supposedly can't be found in the same directory as the others even though I put them in there myself.

But I tried your idea, Brad, and I still get the same result. I initially loaded them from a sub directory of the Apache /bin directory, but created C:\PHP\EXT\ and copied them over there. Then I changed the Extensions Path Pointer to the new directory and seven load fine, but those other two are still M.I.A. (see screen shots posted previously).

So I changed it back. It was a valiant effort, granted, but the end result was the same. I'm getting good feedback though (even if it takes a few days) so keep it coming! I'd like to solve this quandry of an enigma, shrouded in a mystery contained within a puzzle, wrapped in a riddle. 🆒

And preferably before Christmas... :p

I guess I should have included the relavant sections of my httpd.conf file too then?

PDF: If you visit the [man]pdf[/man] page, you'll see a requirement for "PDFLib." Did you install this? It recommends installing this via PEAR. Did you do this?

ZIP: If you visit the [man]zip[/man] page, you'll see a requirement for "ZZIPlib." Did you install this?
