Troubles with php pages NOT showing

Now, Ive been trying alot of diffrent things to get this to work, but it just WONT!

I installed apache and mysql, well actually I installed xampplite.
Everything is working fine, except it refuses to open my local php pages at all.
Ive tried to reinstall over and over again, but it wont work.
Not in IE and not in firefox.

Does anyone have any suggestions? :o

Have you configured apache config so that it knows where to find PHP? I'm not too familiar with xampplite, but it's just as easy to download and install apache from scratch.

What is it doing? Are there any issues showing up in your apache logs? What do you see in your browser?

More details help people who can't look over your shoulder to understand your problem. 🙂

When I try to open them, absolutley nothing happends, as if I never clicked in the first place. I tried opening it with the browser/s and nothing happened either, no error no nothing.

The logs say basicly nothing, no errors.

I tried installing apache and everything from scratch at first, but I had the same problem then. As far as I understand, nothing needs to be configured besides the password, theres not really much information on the xampplite either. It was just a zip file that had all the folders premade and everything. Theres a special folder to put the files in, and even the premade files in it wont work.

Ive been trying to go over things, but maybe Im missing something.
Ive looked through the php.ini and the httpd.config. Everything seems right.

I really dont know what more info to give, since nothing is happening. 🙁

Hmm, aside from configuring apache (I too had this problem) try this.

Go to http://localhost

What happens? Does it give you a list of all the files in the dirrectory? Are you PHP files in the HTDOCS folder in the Apache server folder?

It asks me for my username and password, that I entered.

Then it takes me to splash.php which actually works. I select english from the page, and it takes me where I can see the status of mysql and some other things, it also says that php is unsecure.

No where can I see where I can change it to be secure.

Edit: And yes my files are in the htdocs folder.
Edit2: It also says php is running only unsecure.
