[RESOLVED] Create a new database (Noob)

This is frustrating me, because I can't find the answer to such a simple question. I am new at MySQL (2nd day) and find that it's hard to connect to a database when I am pretty sure there's not one there at all. How do you initially create a database? (PHP code would be good) Sorry for the stupid question.

you use the CREATE DATABASE syntax. however you should really look into a mySQL admin tool such at phpMyAdmin.
