Call to undefined function: mssql_connect()

Hi!

Been using MySQL for a long time, finally getting around to Microsoft SQL..

When I try to connect to SQL Server 7.0 using PHP 4.2.4, I get the following error:
Call to undefined function: mssql_connect()

Anyone have an idea of how to stop this?

This project is off on the wrong foot.. Broken already on line 4.. 😃

are you using a self-compiled version of php?
if so, you need to recompile with the mssql-extension

if not, you need to download a new php-version OR activate the mssql-extension

I'm using the version of PHP which came packaged in phpdev on a Windows machine.. Have been camped in Google and http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mssql-connect.php all morning. 🙁
